Hello, my friends and the occasional relative!
This week, this week. I’ve exercised more, eaten more cleanly. (Not clean, might I add, but better!) Been in touch with family and friends. Worked. Practiced pool using shot specific cards, read Scottish fairy tales. Done my first experimental narration of The Gardener and The Goddess. Believe me when I say I am a natural. This is my straight face. But seriously…
I have not written, as such. I have had a good idea about how to tie some previously unstrung elements of background together, the background/unseen to the reader plot made more concrete. It is a why of what happens, which is always useful to have. I know it, friends, so you don’t have to. Unless someone decides to dramatically monologue it. “Paging Mr Galt, paging Mr. John Galt! Please arrive at gate number 42 and discuss who he is, no restriction as to time, we are suffering weather delays at present and all fights are delayed.”
There. I’ve written something. And it did not use the word gaping.
Something that does include the word gaping is my first novel, The Thief and The Demon. Before it got edited there was some over-gape, but now, just the right amount. And you, my dear friends who have obviously all read and reviewed that masterwork of modern fantasy fiction, now have the opportunity to tell your coworkers, friends, family, social network acquaintances, and strangers that you bonded with over a green lasagna recipe from Bologna, that yes, for the second time ever – they could pick up a free copy of the kindle edition of The Thief and The Demon any time from September the 18th through 22nd!
I advise you to rush into the streets, rend your hair, beat pots and pans together, set off car alarms to spread this astonishing, world-shattering news. This is not my straight face. Please do not do that.
But, if you would like, do pick up a free copy of my first novel, and let others know they could too. That would be just grand.
Okay, I now have a gigantic game of Firefly to play with both rim space expansions (no sniggering at the back!) included. Shiny.
